Wales-Wyoming Workshops
Wales-Wyoming Workshops
Wales-Wyoming Workshops (W3) announces the inaugural Composer Fellowship Program, a tuition-free, fully virtual opportunity for emerging composers. Created in partnership with the Tenby International Music Festival in Tenby, Wales and the Wyoming International Chamber Music Festival in Laramie, Wyoming—both in their inaugural year—the W3 Composer Fellowship Program aims to cultivate an ecosystem where emerging composers and musicians from both sides of the Atlantic collaborate to create and champion contemporary chamber music.
In its first year, two composers will be selected—one from Wales, and one from Wyoming or its bordering states—as the inaugural W3 Composer Fellows. Each Fellow will have their composition workshopped and performed at both the Tenby International Music Festival and Wyoming International Chamber Music Festival, providing each Fellow with a guaranteed international performance. Additionally, Fellows will receive audio and video recordings of each performance, which may be used for any purposes including online promotion and portfolio development.
