Sara Magill is a sought after freelance musician currently residing in Cincinnati Ohio. She will be performing with the Louisville Orchestra as principal harp for the 26/27 season and has been associate principal harp with the Columbus Symphony since 2025. In the summer of 2026 Magill served a one-year appointment with the Des Moines Metro Opera. She frequently performs as guest principal and second harp with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Utah Symphony and Omaha Symphony. Magill held the principal harp title with the Binghamton Philharmonic from 2019 - 2025.
After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, Sara began her graduate studies as a teaching assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. She later earned an Artist Diploma with world renowned soloist and chamber musician Bridget Kibbey at Bard College, as well as an Artist Diploma in Orchestral Studies under the tutelage of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras principal harpist, Gillian Benet Sella.
