Samuel Glicklich
Samuel Glicklich, a native of Los Angeles, is an award-winning pianist celebrated for his expressive depth and commanding virtuosity. He has earned top honors in numerous major international competitions, including First Prize at the 2025 Maestro Piano Competition, Second Prize at the 2022 Casagrande International Piano Competition, Third Prize at the 2021 Singapore International Piano Competition, the KulturKontakt Eppan Artist Prize at the 2025 Piano Academy Eppan, and was a solo finalist in the 2023 Busoni International Piano Competition. He also won the 2022 Colburn School Concerto Competition and the 2019 Aspen Music Festival Concerto Competition, performing with conductors James Conlon and Ludovic Morlot.
Additional accolades include prizes at the 2025 Bösendorfer Piano Competition, the 2021 Canada International Piano Competition, and the 2017 Seattle and Glendale International Piano Competitions.
In 2022, Samuel was awarded the Young Talents scholarship from the Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot Festival in Burgundy, France, where he performed under the artistic direction of Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Gautier Capuçon. He has collaborated with an array of distinguished musicians, including Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Gautier Capuçon, Tatjana Masurenko, Martin Beaver, Peter Lloyd, and composer Eric Whitacre, for whose virtual choir project Sing Gently he served as the featured pianist.
Samuel’s performances have been presented at major venues including Carnegie Hall as a guest of From the Top, Benaroya Hall, and the Bing Theater at LACMA for the Sundays Live radio broadcast. He completed his Master of Music degree at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, studying with Fabio Bidini and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and is currently pursuing post-graduate studies at the Musik-Akademie Basel under the guidance of Claudio Martínez Mehner.
