Passacaglia Mason is a 24 year old violinist currently living in Vienna and studying at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien with Christian Altenburger. She started taking violin lessons at the age of three with Gabriela Bohnett and continued her studies with Ellen dePasquale, Jun-Ching Lin, and Sergiu Schwartz. She completed her Bachelor's degree at the Schwob School of Music and her Master's at the New England Conservatory.

Passacaglia is an active chamber musician and began her passion for chamber music at the age of eleven when she started playing in various chamber ensembles. Her quartet at NEC, coached by Kim Kashkashian, Merry Peckham, and Mai Motobuchi, took on numerous projects including a performance of Ligeti's String Quartet No. 1 in Boston Symphony Hall and projects with composers such as Caroline Shaw and Steve Mackey. Her quartet also won the Escher String Quartet Fellowship with the Classical Music Institute, working closely and performing in concerts with the Escher Quartet.

Passacaglia has appeared as a soloist with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the Georgia Philharmonic, and the Schwob School of Music Philharmonic. Passacaglia has participated in the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Moritzburg Festival Academy, Budapest Fesztivál Akadémia, Blaricum Music Festival with Mathieu Herzog, Domaine Forget, and the Red Rocks Chamber Music Institute. 

Passacaglia now has a temporary contract with the Vienna Symphony First Violins and the Vereinigten Bühnen Wien.
