Keegan Bamford is a passionate and creative cellist who strives to reach emotional heights through his love for storytelling with music. An avid performer, Keegan is a contracted musician with several orchestras including the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Richmond (Indiana) Symphony Orchestra, and Sequoia Symphony Orchestra and frequently subs with other orchestras in the Indiana-Kentucky-Illinois area. He is currently the assistant principal cellist in Richmond, Indiana. Aside from his numerous orchestral concerts, Keegan holds a passion for chamber music with recent engagements comprising of concerts at the Jacobs School of Music as well as numerous other engagements across the United States; especially in his home community of central California.

Recently, Keegan was just offered the cello teaching position at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California where he will continue his passion for teaching the next generation of young musicians. With over 10 years of teaching experience, he is sought out as a teacher for his approach on melding all aspects of music from theory to history and technique to musicality to create a wholisitic experience for each of his students. Earning his Bachelor’s at Fresno State with Dr. Thomas Loewenheim, Keegan then moved to Indiana to earn his Master’s degree at the prestigious Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University studying under the tutelage of Emilio Colón. Currently, Keegan is pursuing his doctoral degree at the Jacob’s School of Music.
